Our Process
01
The Process: Step one
Discovery Meeting
Live Sketch Session
After we gather some basic details about your project, you’ll meet with David for a live sketch session. This collaborative meeting is where your ideas start to take shape, we’ll review your site drawings, discuss budget considerations, and explore possible layouts for your home. Bring along any sketches, inspiration images, or reference materials you’d like to share, they help us better understand your vision.
After your live sketch session, David will refine the initial ideas and sketches into detailed concept drawings for your review. These typically include floor plans and a front elevation that bring your vision into focus. The design may go through a few revisions, and possibly one or two additional meetings, to ensure every detail feels just right before you approve the final concept. If you’re working with a builder, this is the perfect stage for them to offer input and confirm the design aligns with your budget.
02
The Process: Step two
Preliminary Drawings
Next, the approved concept is transformed into precise CAD drawings. This is where Danny steps in, bringing the design to life with technical accuracy and attention to detail. At this stage, dimensions, square footage, massing, and roof design are finalized, along with all four elevations and the roof plan. With this level of detail, your builder can begin accurate project pricing, ensuring the design stays aligned with your budget. You’ll also have another opportunity to review the drawings and request any revisions before moving forward.
03
The Process: Step three
Design Documents
The final step is preparing a comprehensive set of construction drawings for permitting. These detailed plans include everything your builder and permitting office need to ensure a smooth, surprise-free build. Each set of construction documents goes through multiple review checklists to verify accuracy, completeness, and consistency, helping set the stage for a seamless construction process from start to finish.
